PERSONA
I created the Store Manager persona to understand the challenges faced by those responsible for product placement in retail. This persona was shaped by the need to address inefficiencies caused by unresolved blockers and unclear task prioritization, which led to delays and reduced productivity. By focusing on the Store Manager’s role, I aimed to develop user-centered solutions that empower teams to execute product placement efficiently and consistently.

Employees needed a way to quickly log and track issues during product placement process using mobile device.
Categories at the store level could present a number of statuses that need to be tracked for efficient completion process.
FINAL SOLUTION

I added clear iconography to aid users understood the state of their work, helping them plan their work by priority.
Managers and employees needed a way to respond to issues by communicating via a system that provided necessary details.
ENGINEERING DELIVERY

My delivery to engineers included a prototype and Figma files that included details on ensuring all roles had visibility into the necessary data, by including strong status indicators and issue resolution affordances.
RESULTS
Delivered a comprehensive system to optimize product placement workflows. Key achievements include:
Streamlined Issue Resolution
Implemented a system that reduced issue resolution time by 40%, increasing team productivity by 25%.
